Day 1: Hanoi arrival (D)
Arrive at Hanoi Airport in Hanoi. Transfer to hotel for check in. If time permits, you’ll take a short tour of the city. Dinner and stay overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi City tour (B/L/D)
After breakfast at the hotel, start your city tour with the Temple of Literature – Vietnam's first university established in 1076, the Hanoi Old Citadel and the Museum of Ethnology. After lunch, you will take a visit to Military Museum, the West Lake, Long Bien Bridge then move on to visit the famous Hanoi Old Quarter, the Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple. You’ll have time to experience Vietnamese coffee for a break and talk to local people. Then you’ll enjoy the Vietnamese traditional water puppet show. Dinner and stay overnight in Hanoi.
Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B/L/D)
After breakfast at the hotel, you will check out of the hotel at 8.00am and move to Halong city. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed aboard a junk with a complimentary drink and check in your cabin. A seafood lunch will be served and cruise on Ha Long Bay to visit the famous islets, caves and a floating fishing village for insight into a unique way of life. You will have plenty of time for swimming and sun bathing. Enjoy a beautiful sunset dinner and relax under the starlit sky before retiring to the comfort of your cabin. Stay overnight on board in the Bay.
Day 4: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Fly to Saigon (B/L)
Early risers can enjoy a serene morning view of Halong Bay's landscapes with a cup of tea or coffee and fresh fruit. From the upper deck of the junk you will be amazed at the breathtaking beauty of the rocky islands rising up from the crystal-clear water. You will continue visiting and exploring the beauty of Halong Bay and enjoy swimming before cruising back to the mainland at 9.30am while enjoying a brunch buffet from 10.30am to 11.30am. Return to the harbor around noon and drive to the airport for a flight to Saigon. Upon arrival in Saigon you will be transferred to hotel for check in. Stay overnight in Saigon.
Day 5: Saigon – Cu Chi Tunnel – Saigon City Tour (B/L)
After breakfast at the hotel, you will leave Saigon for the Cu Chi tunnels, also known as the 'Iron Triangle' or 'Iron Land'. On the way there you will be going through pleasant countryside, rubber plantations and rice paddies. Before entering the tunnels, we will see a short, introductory video showing how they were constructed, followed by an exploration of the maze of tunnels, some of which have been widened to allow tourists access through. Also on display are various mantraps and the remains of an American tank as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500lb bombs dropped by B52 bombers. Return to Saigon for lunch. After lunch, you will take the city tour of Saigon. You will visit the Reunification Palace, the War Remnant Museum. This is a place that you can see countless of artifacts, photographs and pictures documenting American war in Vietnam. The Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Post office and Ben Thanh market are the last places to visit before returning to the hotel. Stay overnight in Saigon.
Day 6: Saigon – Mekong – Saigon (B/L)
Drive to My Tho in the Mekong Delta after breakfast. After visiting Vinh Trang pagoda, take a boat cruise along the river to visit a fishing port, and a nearby orchard where guests can sample the succulent fruits of the Mekong Delta. Continue boating to Thoi Son Island to glimpse local village life. See how residents make rice wine, coconut candies and honey. Change from boats to smaller sampans to ply the narrow, tree-lined canals. Then you will take a larger boat for returning to My Tho, and then to Saigon in the late afternoon. Stay overnight in Saigon.
Day 7: Saigon – Phu Quoc (B)
After breakfast, you will be free until transferred to Tan Son Nhat Airport for a short flight to Phu Quoc Island. Phu Quoc is a very mountainous and densely forested Island of 1320 sq km; it is 48km in length from south to north and has a population of approx. 80,000 people. Situated in the Gulf of Thailand 45 km west of Ha Tien on the Vietnamese mainland and 15km south of the coast of Cambodia, Phu Quoc is ringed with some beautiful beaches in Vietnam, and offers the best seafood in the country. Check in hotel upon arrival. Stay overnight in Phu Quoc.
Day 8: Phu Quoc relaxing (B)
Take a visit of Phu Quoc in the morning. Afternoon is free at your leisure or swim at the beach. Stay overnight in Phu Quoc.
Day 9: Phu Quoc relaxing (B)
Free whole day for you to relax. Stay overnight in Phu Quoc.
Day 10: Phu Quoc – Saigon Departure (B)
Free until transferred to the airport for a short flight to Saigon. Then connect your flight back home sweet home.
