Day 1: Arrival Hanoi (D)
Upon arrival in Hanoi, you will be picked up at Noi Bai airport and transferred to hotel for check in. If time permits you will take a short city tour of Hanoi. Dinner and stay overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi – Cuc Phuong National Park Trekking (B/L/D)
Pick up at hotel and drive to Cuc Phuong National Park, one of Vietnam's oldest national parks and consequently one of the best managed. It's approximately 22,000ha of subtropical forest and karst limestone scenery, and home to an extraordinary range of unique species. Arrive in Cuc Phuong at around 9:00am and visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Center (EPRC). After leaving the EPRC, the car will bring you to the starting point of your two-day trek. In the primary forest you will trek for three to four hours, passing limestone caves and trees over a millennium old. The destination is Langur Valley in the hopes of seeing the Cuc Phuong mascot and one of the rarest primates on the planet. Lunch, dinner and overnight stay in a tent will be provided by the park guide. In the evening you, the national park guide and the local guide will re-enter the now pitch-dark forest and, with the aid of a spotting lamp, go in search of the forest’s numerous nocturnal creatures, which include civets, owls, flying squirrels, lorises, bats and cats. Stay overnight in the National Park.
Day 3: Cuc Phuong National Park Trekking (B/L/D)
After the sounds of the jungle lulls you to sleep in the safety of your mosey net, you will awake refreshed and ready for another day of adventure to reach the Muong village for bamboo rafting along Buoi river. In this village the hospitable people will offer you a great meal, music performance (optional) and a wonderful sleep in a traditional stilt house.
Day 4: Cuc Phuong National Park – Hanoi (B/L)
After a night’s sleep in one of the traditional stilt houses, you will be woken up by the roosters, buffalos and the sounds of the village. Have breakfast and walk around the village before departure among new found before returning to Hanoi. Stay overnight in Hanoi.
Day 5: Hanoi Departure (B)
Free at your own leisure until transferred to airport for your flight back home sweet home.
