DMZ & PHONG NHA CAVES (6 days / 5 nights)

Day 1: Hue Arrival (D)
Upon arrival at Hue Airport, you will be picked up and transferred to hotel for check in. Free to relax. Stay overnight in Hue.
Day 2: Hue City Tour (B/L)
After breakfast at the hotel, you will take a leisurely boat trip along the Perfume River to visit the Thien Mu pagoda and Hue Royal Citadel constructed by Emperor Gia Long after the style of French military architect Vauban in the first decades of the 19th century and now a UNESCO World Heritage site. In the afternoon, you will move on to visit the tomb of Emperor Minh Mang, the tomb of Emperor Khai Dinh, a local village to see the people making their local product. Evening is free for you to explore the city. Stay overnight in Hue.
Day 3: Hue – Quang Tri – Khe Sanh – Dong Hoi (B/L)
After breakfast, you will be picked up and transferred to Dong Ha town. Upon arrival at Dong Ha town you will go on your trip on Ho Chi Minh trail for visiting Dakrong Bridge, the starting point of Highway 15, one of the main branches of the Ho Chi Minh Trail, which leads south to the A Shau valley and the famous “Hamburger Hill”, across over Thach Han River. Ho Chi Minh Trail is very famous during the US war in Vietnam, so you can admire the green and imposing of forest along this trail. This is an opportunity for you to meet the ethnic people in the highlight of Central Vietnam like Ka Tu, Van Kieu, Paco in their villages to know about their customs and ways of living. Then go around visiting Khe Sanh combat base – one of the most famous sieges of American Vietnamese War, and was the site of a US Army base that fell under attack in early 1968. You will see the remains of the old US airfield. Enter to the museum of Ta Con airport to see the things in nature of the fierce war, and how hard Quang Tri people fought against the US. Reach to the Rock pile described as 230 high-piles of rocks, an observation point of US Troops in the pass. Coming to this place, tourists would see a vast mountain standing on an unequaled position. Have lunch at restaurant in Dong Ha.
After lunch, you will get back to the war sites including Hien Luong Bridge crosses the Ben Hai River at the middle of the DMZ which marked the former border between North and South Vietnam from 1954 to 1972 where exists a Museum, Ben Hai River, the 17th Parallel. Vinh Moc tunnels – a network of tunnels built by villagers seeking shelter from bombings during the US War in Vietnam, and here is the place where an entire village lived for two and a half years. Visiting these tunnels, you can see and admire the specialty of Vietnamese people in the war, in this complex grew to including wells, kitchens, and rooms for each family and spaces for healthcare. Stay overnight in Dong Hoi.
Day 4: Dong Hoi – Phong Nha caves – Dong Hoi (B/L)
After breakfast at hotel, you will be transferred to Phong Nha cave, which UNESCO recognized as a World Natural Heritage. Take a boat along Son River passing through the forest to Phong Nha Caves and enjoy the wonderful sights of this cave. You will stop to visit Cung Dinh cave, Tien Cave and Bi Ky Cave with beautiful limestone formations. Back and have lunch at a restaurant. Rest of the day is free to explore Dong Hoi. Stay overnight in Dong Hoi.
Day 5: Dong Hoi – Hue (B/L)
After breakfast at hotel, you will be transferred back to Hue. On the way back, you will take a stop to visit Quang Tri Citadel, where was the historical place and war vestige of Vietnam with many mysterious legends and lively evidences containing in interesting stories. Stay overnight in Hue.
Day 6: Hue Departure (B)
After breakfast at hotel, you will be free at your own leisure until transferred to airport for flight back home sweet home.
