SAIGON – HANOI HIGHLIGHT (12 days / 11 nights)

Day 1: Arrival Saigon (D)
Upon arrival in Saigon, you will be received at the airport and transferred to the hotel for check in. Dinner and stay overnight in Saigon.
Day 2: Saigon City tour (B/L)
Full day city tour visiting the former Presidential Palace, the War Remnants Museum, and the famous architecture and buildings in the city center including Notre Dame Cathedral, City Hall, the Municipal Theater, and Xa Loi pagoda, ending with stops at Ben Thanh market and China town, Cholon. Stay overnight in Saigon.
Day 3: Saigon – My Tho – Can Tho (B/L)
After breakfast, you will be transferred by coach to My Tho to board a motorboat and travel along the Bao Dinh canal lined with stilt-houses and fruit plantations. Visit the My Tho wholesale fruit market and Turtle Island then take lunch served in the heart of an orchard. Relax to enjoy the boat ride through Tan Tach canal in Ben Tre, cruising under the shadows of water coconut trees. Visit family businesses and learn about the agricultural lifestyle. Walk through the fruit plantations on Thoi Son Island and take rowboats along the various creeks before returning to My Tho by row-boat. You will then be transferred to Can Tho and check in the hotel upon arrival. Stay overnight in Can Tho.
Day 4: Can Tho – Cai Rang – Saigon – Flight to Nha Trang (B/L)
After breakfast, take a morning boat to visit the bustling Cai Rang floating market and cruise through the intricate network of small canals to a village specializing in making rice noodles, see the Delta's delicate "monkey bridges" and visit another floating market in Cai Rang. Break for lunch in Cai Rang then drive back to Tan Son Nhat Airport in Saigon to catch the late afternoon flight to Nha Trang. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel for check in. Stay overnight in Nha Trang.
Day 5: Nha Trang boat trip and City Tour (B/L)
Morning: Boat trip to visit Tam and Mun Islands.
Afternoon: City tour of Nha Trang including the Po Nagar Cham tower and Long Son Pagoda. Stay overnight in Nha Trang.
Day 6: Nha Trang – Flight to Danang – Hoian (B)
Depart Nha Trang on the morning flight to Danang. Upon arrival in Danang you will be transferred to Hoian, stopping at the Cham Museum in Danang and Marble Mountain on the way. Check in the hotel upon arrival. Then take a walking tour of the ancient town center and visit historic merchants' homes, the 400 year-old Japanese covered bridge and the colorful, bustling market. Stay overnight in Hoian.
Day 7: Hoian – Hue (B/L)
After breakfast at the hotel, move to Hue. Take a stop to visit Lang Co beach. In the afternoon, visit the Hue Royal Citadel constructed by Emperor Gia Long after the style of French military architect Vauban in the first decades of the 19th century and now a UNESCO World Heritage site. Stay overnight in Hue.
Day 8: Hue city tour – Flight to Hanoi (B/L)
After breakfast, enjoy a boat trip along the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu pagoda, Emperor Minh Mang's tomb and Hue's famous Dong Ba market. Lunch will be at local restaurant. After lunch, move to airport for flight to Hanoi. Check in hotel upon arrival. Stay overnight in Hanoi.
Day 9: Hanoi City tour (B/-/D)
After breakfast at the hotel, start your city tour with the Temple of Literature – Vietnam's first university established in 1076, the Hanoi Old Citadel. In the afternoon, visit the Museum of Ethnology, the Hoa Lo Prison Museum, the famous Old Quarter, Dong Xuan market, Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple and enjoy the Vietnamese traditional water puppet show. Stay overnight in Hanoi.
Day 10: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B/L/D)
After breakfast at the hotel, you will check out of the hotel at 8.30am and move to Halong city. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed aboard a junk with a complimentary drink and check in your cabin. A seafood lunch will be served and cruise on Halong Bay to visit the famous karsts including Mat Qui (Monsters' face) islet, But Moc islet, and Cap De islet, as well as Trong (Drum) and Trinh Nu caves and a floating fishing village for insight into a unique way of life. Explore Luon cave with plenty of time for swimming and sun bathing. Enjoy a beautiful sunset dinner and relax under the starlit sky before retiring to the comfort of your cabin. Stay overnight on board in the Bay.
Day 11: Halong – Hanoi (B/L)
Early risers can enjoy a morning view of Halong Bay's landscapes with a cup of tea or coffee and fresh fruit. From the upper deck of the junk you will be amazed at the breathtaking beauty of the rocky islands rising up from the crystal-clear water. Explore the Sung Sot (Amazing) cave for an hour, then swim and relax at Titop beach before cruising back to the mainland at 9.30am while enjoying a brunch buffet from 10.30am to 11.30am. Return to in the harbor around noon time then drive back to Hanoi, arriving around 4.00pm. Free to relax. Stay overnight in Hanoi.
Day 12: Hanoi Departure (B)
After breakfast, you are free to go shopping or relax until transferred to the airport for your flight back home sweet home.
